$$$ Tips for Making the Most Money $$$

You spent a lot of time & money on your maternity clothing, now you're ready clear out your closet, pass them along to some other stylish mama and recoup some of your investment.

We know you're pressed for time but keeping these simple tips in mind will increase both the number of items that are accepted AND how much you get for each one. Make sure you visit our "How to Sell" page and follow our Consignment Process, Six Easy Steps
.  And don't forget to fill out your Seller's Forms and to put your name on EVERY bag you're dropping off.

REMEMBER:
1.
Not everything in your closet is clean.
Nobody washes everything every time they wear it. Just because it's on a hanger or in a drawer doesn't mean it was washed before you put it away. When in doubt....

2. A few bad apples CAN ruin the bunch.
Please don't try to get rid of everything in your closet in one fell swoop. The more rejects we see the more likely we are to reject. If we see a pattern emerging of stains, missing buttons, unwashed and even just unseasonable items, it increases the chances we'll be more critical of your clothing and see flaws where they don't exist.  If this happens we may not accept some items that we might normally take.

3. Wrinkles are NOT your friend.
Even a brand new blouse looks old and unappealing if it is excessively wrinkled. Creases from folding are expected but major wrinkles greatly increase the chances your items will not be accepted OR will be priced lower.

4. We have sensitive noses.
Items that have been stored for awhile tend to absorb odors. Even if you washed everything before you packed it up, items stored for more than a few months will probably need some refreshing.

5.
Seasons matter (even in San Francisco)
We've been conditioned (whether we like it or not), no matter how hot it is in October no one will be buying sundresses (unless they're heading to Hawaii).  Remember pregnant women can't stock up on next year's wardrobe so they are especially careful about only buying what they will wear right away. Hold on to your seasonal items until the appropriate time. This is the Bay Area however, so some "fall" items sell all year.  When in doubt don't hesitate to ask us what we are currently accepting.

Donation Information:

Unfortunately we have neither the space nor the man power to accept items strictly for donation. Please make sure you follow our criteria closely when choosing your items to drop off to us. If you have many items that don't fit our criteria please consider donation and take them directly to an organization like the Homeless Prenatal Program in San Francisco.
